About the Book

elcorreo.comENGLISH DESCRIPTIONA novel about the past, secrets, and about lives that share the same destiny in spite of the time that separates them. If you see an older gentleman asking indiscreet questions, don't be alarmed. His name is Philippe and many years ago he was a fencing instructor in Perpignan. Now, he spends his time in a search that has turned into an obsession, he wants to know the whereabouts of Teresa Mendieta, an ex-student who was very skillful with the sword, but clumsy with her feelings. As Phillippe investigates, he begins delivering a profile of Teresa in which facts go hand-in-hand with his imagination: that loving yet distant woman lived alone in a big old house in the Costa Brava where she spent her days reminiscing about her childhood alongside her mother Angela, a wonderful woman who was always willing to love, and where she kept hidden an old box filled with letters and recipes written at the beginning of the 1900s by a distant relative, Elizabeth. Where was Teresa now? It's easy to imagine her now, reading Elizabeth's old letters, remembering Angela and her craziness, but there is one dark thread that unites these three women, and we will only tell it at the very end of this marvelous novel by Marian Izaguirre.
