About the Book

Glasgow gangster Domenico Rossi is in trouble. As the only wholesale supplier of illegal drugs into Scotland not yet languishing for twenty years in a concrete box, he has to deliver a tonne of uncut Coke to fellow criminal Ian Gilmour. If he doesn't, his £12m payday will never materialise and, he knows he might not be around for too long afterwards to worry about it. But that was the price of failure in the vicious underworld he navigated. And although Rossi is good at what he does, unforeseen problems just seem to keep turning up in an attempt to thwart him. Like the small issue of Jack Malone, his 'Banker, ' the moneyman man he needs to grease the wheels of business and get the deal done. The man currently locked up tight in a prison cell.

His Colombian suppliers, the Barrera Cartel, have also been asking some pointedly awkward questions. Like why should they keep paying Rossi to import drugs when they could do it much more cheaply themselves? They couldn't though. Rossi knew it and they knew it. So he could only imagine they'd been promised a better deal from another source. But who?

Domenico Rossi hadn't stayed at the top for the last ten years by crumbling under pressure though. But he needed to act fast and sort out who he could trust and who was dispensable and then deliver everything he said he would, including his own brand of justice. Because if he didn't he'd become just another footnote to someone else's success.

Oh, and he'd need to do one thing before all else. He'll need to pull off something no one had managed in the last sixty years. He'd need to break Jack Malone out of HMP Glasgow, the new Barlinnie; the toughest, most secure prison in Scotland.

Cry for the Dead is a fast paced, exciting Scottish crime novel, that will show you in detail not only how to escape from prison, but how to also deal with those people that betray you, both supposed friends and definite enemies. Filled with twists, turns, violence and double cross, the story moves seamlessly between Scotland and the Costa del Sol until it reaches it's final, violent, deadly conclusion, keeping you in suspense until the last page.
