My goal is to show you how easy and fun it is to live the crochet as a hobby and create marvelous pieces in no time.

I know... You may be wondering: "Isn't crochet just an old and boring embroidery activity?"
My name is Sarah, I'm 36 years old and I used to think that myself. But after my grandmother passed away, I found her notes and designs and decided one day to give it a go: from boring and difficult, crocheting became exciting and relaxing. From that moment, just using a hook and a yarn, I started to put my hectic life in order, one loop at a time.
I am always a very active woman, divided between my work and my daughter, but crochet is also part of my life. Now I teach adults and children how to continue an ancient, but still current, tradition that hides unexpected benefits that can make our lives really better.
What do I mean ? Let me give you a simple example:
before going to bed, crocheting helps you relax and give you a deep and restful sleep, or keeps your hands busy and off the junk food while watching television.
There are many studies and researches that prove the benefits, as those described by THE AMERICAN COUNSELING ASSOCIATION, Craft Yarn Council, etc.
In Crochet Patterns for Beginners we talk about these benefits and complete our exciting journey with beautiful PATTERNS and PROJECTS and more than 60 PHOTOS and ILLUSTRATIONS for a step by step experience.
You will also find:
- a useful guide to find your way around many tools and materials
- a precious help to read terms and symbols
