A mountain valley vacation in a cabin. Anxious children exploring. And wild critters team up to find a treasure box.
The Dunn family spent two weeks unpacking before they decided to take a vacation in the Shenandoah Valley. Their learned to work as a team packing, unpacking, traveling, and making new friends. Their wanted to explore in the mountain valley and learn more about nature. They only need to keep track of all the new critters.
They never guessed that the wild critters would get along with their pets, they only hoped! Now that they have several outdoor critter friends, they didn't think about adding more! But if their outdoor friends live outdoors, why did it matter how many they added? The family never thought that the mischief the critters got into could possibly be anything more than fun!
What began as a tale of a family with three pets: a retired racehorse, a cat, and a greyhound dog grew by adding five new critters: a mink, a Kai Ken dog, a rabbit, a Mandarin duck, and a cardinal bird. Now in the valley, they continue to add seven more for a total of 15 critters. A simple move from New York turns into an active family with many critter friends and unpredictable happenings.
Plus, you will find that each chapter concludes with a real description page and a story character description page to enlighten young readers of the difference between fact and fiction of each critter..
