C.R.E.A.M (Rising To The Top)

A crime drama thriller, Cream is the true story of the most dangerous and undisputed Kingpin of the Saint Louis Heroin drug trade, Dennis Haymon. was raised in the city projects in a two-parent home. His mother (Marie) is totally blind, and his father (Andrew) is partially blind. Andrew operates a small convenient store, where various characters of the projects patronize. Andrew keeps his 45-caliber pistol in the small of his back. Andrew is well respected in the projects. Although not a gangster, he's determined to protect his family. Dennis's father also hosts and runs an exclusive dice game in the back of the store on weekend nights. The games are often attended by the neighborhood players, hustlers and gangsters. Young Dennis often sneaks in the back room to watch the men gamble. He's very impressed by the men. These guys were dressed very nicely, with pretty women on their arms and diamond rings on their fingers. Dennis likes what he sees and develops an appetite for the finer things of life.

Not knowing where to start with this quest, he and some friends start a small gang of thieves, three men and three women. Together they would hit the city malls stealing clothes, till-tap (cash from the store register) and jewelry. Dennis is smooth and quick like a sly fox. They quickly get arrested therefore, Dennis decides that it's too risky and discontinues the operation. He goes back to the drawing board. Dennis entertains the advice of a few gangsters he knew from his father's weekend dice games. The older gangsters took him under their wings and begins to groom him. They teach him the mythology of a street gangsters and the business of selling heroin. Dennis is a quick learner and begins to understand that in this life he must reinvent himself from a sly fox into a fearless wolf. There are four cardinal rules in the heroin business, no snitching (be true to the game thereby the game would be true to you); cash rules (If money can fix it why worry about it); protect the business (keep good product, stay consistent and swift reprisal for intruders); and in times of peace prepare for war. Dennis adapts well and quickly the money and luxuries pour in. His friends grow and so does his enemies. His empire grows fast and large. Dennis is now king and if one desires to be king, they must first kill Caesar. The D.E.A starting to investigate him, the other five rival drug gangs join forces to bring him and his men down. The Saint Louis homicide detectives are investigating a murder case from six years ago. Dennis sensed the inevitable consequences of his choices and begins to plan his exit from the drug business. But how do you stop a fast-moving locomotive from becoming a train wreck and how do you get a happy ending from a horror story. The drug war begins, and Dennis gives out the order to his men to (scorch the earth) and the streets of Saint Louis are filled with a river of blood. The D.E.A. Creeps in the shadows and the homicide detectives have a witness and are proceeding to arrest Dennis. He is arrested makes his half-million-dollar bond, but can he allude the D.E.A. and fight a drug war while trying to find and silence a state's witness?
