About the Author: Hello, I am a board certified pulmonary and sleep physician, a published author, and a passionate promoter of sleep and selfless leadership, currently enjoying my medical practice at Sneeze & Snooze Clinic, Goshen, Indiana. With the help of my colleagues at Goshen Hospital, I founded the Center for Sleep Studies in 1994 and did the first sleep study in a small room, which was used for stress test during daytime! We have grown to a stand-alone, 4-bed sleep center accredited by American Academy of Sleep Medicine. Son of a Gujarati writer-publisher, I grew up in a small, dusty, hot village in Western India. After finishing my medical college in India, I immigrated to the USA and started my internal medicine residency at Englewood Hospital in Englewood, NJ (a Mount Sinai Medical Center, New York's program). I served as the Chief Resident in the third year of the training program. After that, I finished pulmonary and sleep fellowship and founded, Sneeze & Snooze Clinic in a beautiful little town in the middle of Amish country in Northern Indiana. I am a senior fellow at American College of Chest Physicians and American Academy of Sleep Medicine. Passionate about sleep, alertness, and driving safety, we started in 2002 our public awareness campaign, "Stay Awake, Drive Safe," aimed at eliminating drowsy driving-related accidents. In 2008, I graduated magna cum laude from the Executive MBA Program at the University of Notre Dame. To help the sleep-deprived executives excel despite insufficient sleep, I wrote my first book - Sleep Well, Lead Well - which empowers them through a transformational model called, "The AEI model of Supreme Leadership." In 2012, I wrote my second book - Deeper Sleep, Richer Life - to help sleep-deprived females feel alert and energetic all day, every day. Through our non-profit initiative called F.E.M.A.L.E.
