About the Book

a Cowboys way Through my own eyes of Cowboy Poetry' the unique poetry written by Denny Paul,
About the Author: Denny Paul' best known as Birdie, born was born August 23, 1971; Denny knew very young age that he had a passion for the cowboy way of life. He may not have had a lot growing up but he had the love and support of his mother and grandfather. At the age of 12, his father left his mother to raise him with his siblings alone. Wanting him to fit in at school, she even financed him a pair of Nike tennis shoes. Denny learned everything he now knows from following, helping and watching his grandfather. As Denny grew up the rodeo and his love of horses became his cowboy way of life. He is truly one of the last genuine cowboys. He learned from the school of hard knocks about life and its true meaning. On March 2012 he was brutally" assaulted, which resulted in a coma. After waking from a 23-day coma, he began writing. He has been through many struggles one being a recovering alcoholic. He realized during his coma, which he tells about in his book "Coma Dreams," that the old way of life was not the one he wanted. He wanted to start new and to be able to inspire others to do the same. He takes great pleasure in his writings, which will leave you awed and touched. His poems will capture your heart and leave you wanting more. Some call him a horse whisperer but he says, "Its letting them feel your heart so they know they can trust you." His cowboy way and way with horses makes you think he came straight out of the 1800s. Denny has an older sister and older Brother, as Birdie is the Youngest of 3 Siblings; Next question is where did the name Birdie come from? Well here's the story behind it' as Denny was as attached to his grandpa as he was he loved the name of his grandpa Birdie, and his grandpas brothers name was Duchie, so Denny picked Birdie and there it Stuck. So I guess you can say" he prefers the name Birdie' or Denny' Rather than Dennis as it is of sentimental value to Him, as a Man. Fact of the matter is if there is a story, or Cowboy Poetry that needs to be written, then Denny Paul (Birdie) a writer of western Stories and Poetry as he writes on spot within Minutes and come directly from his life or life Experiences.
