About the Book

Crafting an Operating Strategy that Fits You! is intended to help you craft a strategy for your business in a form that lasts as well as succeeds. You can read a myriad of books on strategy; they tell you what worked for someone else or what you should do based on someone's theory but they rarely give you the framework for developing a strategy that springs from the well within you, that fits the world around you and yet reflects the wisdom of people who have been you and succeeded. In the overall book of which this is a volume, I've drawn on the experiences of a host of people who have been in exactly your position in order to help you plot your course from that position to where you really want to go! Sections include: Shape your Vision - The 3 P's of "Good to Great" Define your Vision as a Solution Plan a Route to your Vision Align your Strategy and your Culture Capture all this in a simple Business Plan Build Resilience into your Plan I've assembled all of these stories, back stories, amazing biographies, useful toolkits and astute guidance in my search for answers to the questions that I know you have, because I've had them too! But I didn't want to limit what you would get from this book to what you would get from my experiences alone so I added two dimensions which I hope you'll find helpful: 1. I'll save you a ton of time Googling to find answers. In the e-book version, just hit the links and "I'll Take You There!" as the song goes. 2. I've interviewed a rich cross-section of people who've been there too. I call this group The Delphi Council and they are profiled in the section by that name. Their comments have informed and shaped this book, their quotes are right on point, their stories are themselves very interesting and I've included links to where you can learn more about them. The book has also been shaped by my Editor, whose unique profile is included as well. Their contribution to this book has been invaluable and I am profoundly grateful to each of them. I hope the insights of the collective group of people who've contributed to this book will give you presence, if not prescience, as you navigate the twists and turns of your own path to Success!
