Journaling as a couple is a fun way to learn more about one another. It's a way to document your goals, hopes and dreams.
It's an easy way to communicate and plan for your future. In addition, journaling is a great way to share your gratefulness and appreciation for your partner.
You can document your concerns, your love, your decisions and your accomplishments.
This journal will be a great memento to look back upon in the future. It will be a treasure for your children to look through when they become adults.
There are many ways you can journal as a couple. You can create a book with one person journaling on the left side and the other on the right.
You can each take a part of a single page collectively write with different colored pens.
To make your journal even more special, add photos, tickets, receipts, poems, cards and other items that you want to remember.
Before you get started, talk to your partner about what you hope to accomplish with the journal. Discuss what you want to keep track of.
Make sure each of you include things that are most important to you.
A few ideas to ensure you make the most of your journaling efforts:
Write daily if possible but at least weekly. Make note of anything great that happened, something you appreciate about your partner, even if it's something small.
Write letters to one another. Sometimes life is busy but don't forget to share your love and appreciation.
Ask your partner a question or better yet, create a question of the week for one another.
Compliment one another.
Challenge your partner to try something new.
Create a bucket list together of the places you want to see and the things you want to do.
Share something you enjoyed, a book, a movie, a meal.
Share something new you learned
Thank your partner for something they did.
Tell them what you are grateful for.
Share childhood memories
Share something that inspired you; a quote, a story, a photo.
