About the Book

AN UNCOMMON NOVEL ABOUT A REVOLUTION FOR THE SOUL My name is Zoie Lynn. Naturally, I had very mixed feelings about returning to Earth, especially as a female, given the way females have been treated on this world for ages on end. But just beneath Earth's soothing blue-green façade boils a fleshy passion unlike anything I have ever known before-a lusciously raw, titillating passion that has repeatedly lured me back into this world time and time again against my better judgment (333 times to be precise!). This time, Mercurio-Emissary from the Great Winged Council-also promises me wild times, romance and a chance to life the "Golden Life," temptations too great for me to pass up. Subsequently, I am born into Earthly flesh in the year 1952, in Los Angeles' San Fernando Valley. Much to my great surprise, however, I end up living much longer in this one lifetime than I ever thought possible on this world. Quite recently, in fact, I have celebrated my 211th birthday! Suffice it to say, much has changed over the course of two centuries. Which is why I am able to come to you now-from the future-to share my own story in the hopes that it might help to make your own transition through the age of "The Great Awakening" a little easier-easier, at least, than mine was for me. It all begins high upon the Ascension Platform. Underneath a canopy of purple-orange twilight, Mercurio greets me in a most stupendous fashion not entirely to my liking. His intent is to implant a lasting image within my psyche, one that will help to remind me of my true purpose when times get rough. His plan is to send me, along with many others, to Earth to help heal the ancient rift in consciousness-the conflict between the intellectual aspirations of Spirit and the emotional needs and desires of Matter-before Earthlings blow themselves up with their atomic weapons. Not exactly an easy task, made even more difficult by requiring that we actually begin to cultivate gentle love, compassion and forgiveness on that world! As usual, however, once on Earth, it doesn't take me long to forget who I truly am-an inevitable consequence of taking up residence on this world. But I soon encounter a host of strange and amazing spirits who do their best to remind me-Faeries; a cosmic nanny named Baneena with a wild mane of long black dreadlocks and green, fern-like leaves; Mari, a beautiful Earth Deity; Wytefether, a playful shaman from the Pleiades; and Mercurio and his mission navigator, Philamon, from the Great Winged Council. To be honest, I don't always like what they have to say. But sometimes they tell me the most fantastic tales-how human life first came to be on this world, the mistakes that gave birth to the dinosaurs, the real truth about Eve's apple, and how rock & roll was really a "gift of power"-from the black race to the white race! It is these spirits and a few more-specifically, the scary old crone Anath, and Samana, Lord of Death-who continually pop in on me throughout the many trials and tribulations I encounter growing up as part of the Baby Boomer generation in the 1950s and 60s. Not only do they reveal to me the ancient secrets of menstruation and goddess worship, of Santa Claus and the Winter Elves, and of the Cold War and the reason why alien spacecraft where hovering in the skies above, but they also finally get around to explaining why Earthlings have learned so many sad and silly fears regarding their sexuality. Much to my great reluctance, they also help me to face a dark and painful wound from my own Earthling past, from an ancient life I once lived as daughter to the Persian prophet, Zoroaster. It was a lifetime that didn't end well-that left a deep and lasting wound that I was still reacting to all these hundreds of lifetimes later. Suffice it to say, it is a wound that I will ultimately need to forgive if ever I am to free myself from being its victim. Forgiveness, however, is not the easiest lesson on Earth to mast
