About the Book

Creation Stories for Children is a collection of charming stories about lovable creatures from God's creation that help teach Katie and Jeffrey principles and values as they face challenges in their young lives. Along the way they meet Silly Millie Moose, Peter Proud Peacock, Flash the Firefly and many others. Creation Stories for Children is not merely a book of stories but a tool to help parents instill the Christian principles and values of obedience, self-esteem, kindness, compassion, temperament, trust, and faith in their own children's lives as they enjoy the adventures and antics of these endearing characters.
About the Author: Coralyn (Cory) Faith Barton was born and raised in a loving Christian home in St. Paul, Minnesota. She currently lives in Richmond, Virginia, with her husband, Brian, of 36 years. They have two grown children, Katelyn (Katie) and Brian J. II (Jeffrey). By the grace of God and His loving mercy, Cory is also a breast cancer survivor.

For 20 years she taught lower elementary school in the field of Christian education and has spent the past 15 years working in Corporate America. Her time spent teaching gave her an special understanding on how children can be taught Biblical principles and values through Bible based stories.

Cory and her husband are also involved in ministering to the blind community. Brian serves as the Executive Director of The Braille Circulating Library for the Blind, Inc. that has been serving the blind since its founding in 1925.

Rae Ella House built her portfolio and developed her professional career as Sr. Art Director at one of Kentucky's top advertising and marketing firms, where she worked on high-profile projects and national accounts. In 1984, Rae launched her own one-woman enterprise, providing full-service design and marketing agency, illustration, and calligraphy with a roster of more than 50 regular clients. Her imaginative concepts and striking executions are the driving force, and her marketing strategies lead to measurable, positive bottom-line results and documented successes. In a career that spans over 40 years, Rae's work has been recognized for creative excellence by a number of professional organizations, and she has earned more than 150 ADDY awards.

Rae is involved in a number of philanthropic endeavors, is a deacon at Calvary Baptist Church, Lexington, KY, and a vocal soloist known for inspirational performances at cantatas, weddings, and funerals. Of all of her accomplishments, Rae is perhaps most proud of her pro bono designs for non-profits, such as Lexington Dream Factory, Children of the Americas, Finding Freedom Through Friendship, American Heart Association, American Diabetes Association, Hospice of the Bluegrass, Hospice of Jessamine County, Lexington Humane Society, Woodford Humane Society, Calvary Baptist Church, National Kidney Foundation, Ryan Harris Memorial, JustFundKy, High Street Neighborhood Center, and many others.
