About the Author: Dave Gee is the co-director of the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater Launch Pad startup accelerator, Entrepreneurship Program Coordinator and lecturer in Entrepreneurship. He mentors startups at the nationally-ranked gener8tor startup accelerator. Dave developed and taught digital marketing in the MBA program at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Dave spent over 20 years working in sales and marketing roles for Fortune 500 companies including: Motorola, BellSouth, U.S. Cellular, TDS and Humana. After leaving the corporate world, he launched his first startup, Sales Sherpas. Sales Sherpas was an advertising agency that helped small and medium-sized telecoms compete with satellite and cable tv providers. Sales Sherpas now serves as his angel investment firm. He then co-founded, the chairman of the board and CEO of Bungee, which provided a SaaS (software as a service) loyalty program to small and medium-sized businesses. Next, he co-founded College Startup Funding, a crowdfunding platform that helped collegiate entrepreneurs professionally present their startups to friends and family to raise capital. In 2015 he helped co-founded and served as the chief marketing officer for Classmunity, a web-based fundraising management system for school districts.
