About the Author: Joyce Lorick has a lifetime of experience cooking, creating recipes, and pleasing the palates of all who encounter her food. Her culinary career began when she wrote her first original recipe at age seven, and continued to take shape when, at eleven, she began working with her mother in her coffee shop.
Stepping out from behind the counter, Lorick went on to earn a BA in English and a master's certificate in professional writing from UCLA, as well as an MPA from Northwestern University. She also married a great guy named Harry and is now a loving matriarch to their three grown children and seventeen grandchildren.
Lorick serves as director of the national management consulting company LA Consulting Inc., which she co-owns. A ten-year veteran member of Saddleback Church in Lake Forest, California, her breakthrough contributions to cooking include sharing her God-sent recipes in two cookbooks-Cooking for the Daniel Plan and Holiday Cooking for the Daniel Plan.
