About the Book

Considered for RuinRaghav has to fight his inner demons tormenting him from his past. Although he got away from them in his childhood, they return back into his adult life. His past mingles with those of the current situations of Aadhav and Reshma. While he is able to find a solution to the cases presented before him, he has to fight his past and bring it to a rightful conclusion. While Raghav finds himself present in the lives of Aadhav and Reshma, will it also help him resolve his past?PrologueThe heavy brown stick landed on his palm with full force. He cried in agony at the pain that was inflicted on him. He was a minor in school uniform and he had smoked cigarettes in the school premises. Two school students had witnessed him smoking. A half-smoked cigarette and an entire cigarette pack were found in his trousers. The boy who was deemed to have done it had repeatedly pronounced a million times "Sir, I haven't done it..." But the stern Principal shook his head and reprimanded saying: "Anyone who commits a mistake says the same thing. We know it all." The school had proof. "I do not smoke. I am not even sure how the cigarette pack landed in my own trouser pockets" he pleaded with the school authorities not to resort him to harsh punishments. The school authorities would never get convinced. The eye-witnesses voiced out that they had seen him smoking, to his weird astonishment. The punishment could not be avoided. He left school that day and subsequently left the town with his family, never to return. However, fate had different plans for him...SvargNivaspur was a small town in North India. It wasn't a well-developed place, but couldn't be deemed as rural as well. It had facilities that were apt for most of the inhabitants in the town and people continued to live in the town farming, weaving and working in cottage industries. The people in general weren't of modern belief. Despite being backward in their outlook, the elders of Nivaspur wanted the children to go to school. They did not hinder their education. For several reasons, the town made education as compulsory up to a certain age. The children attended school, mostly out of compulsion from the parents. An ideal education, but existed only in thoughts. What happened in practical was very different and did not match the expectations of the innocent minds of children who were forcibly sent to school and not out of real-interest. It was quite a strict school. Not only that, it was the only school that they had in town and thus, the parents were compelled to send their children to study there. The school gained fame with time and slowly turned into a residential school. The parents were given assurance that the children would be taken care under their guidance. For reasons unknown, the school was known as "Svarg", which meant Heaven. Aadhav had just turned five in June. He was by all means a quiet, meek boy and not a kind of child who would easily mingle well with his classmates or try to get attention towards him. He was to himself most of the time. There was a story written on his face and he kept a lot of incidents that happened to him at his own discreet. He seemed a total misfit in this strict, disciplined school and what he actually required was love and security. The school commenced in June and ended by March. They had a two month hiatus, before they could get back to school for the next year. But circumstances for Aadhav with or without school would be the same, unlike any of his other classmates. Aadhav was in the classroom along with the remaining sixty over students in his class. It was a huge volume of students being managed by a single teacher. The number of students was increasing and the level of stress experienced by the teacher too. It was hard to manage the young children, but the management wasn't supportive of decreasing the number of students or increasing the staff count.
