Inhaltsangabe: Zusammenfassung: Ziel der vorliegenden Arbeit ist es, anhand einschlägiger Fachliteratur eine theoretische Grundlage zum Thema Computer Aided Selling (CAS) und Customer Relationship Management (CRM) zu schaffen. Aufbauend auf den Kriterien zum Erfolg im Vertrieb und den Rahmenbedingungen aus dem Unternehmensumfeld, soll ein Softwaretool entwickelt werden, welches im Gesamtunternehmen den Umgang mit dem Kunden verbessern soll, und im Speziellen den Verkauf unterstützen soll. Projektorientierte mittelständische Unternehmen (PMU's) waren in der Vergangenheit unter diesem Kontext noch kaum beachtet worden, obwohl auch diese Unternehmen durch die Einführung eines CAS/CRM Systems immense Vorteile erzielen könnten. Die Arbeit vermittelt ein theoretisches Überblickswissen über die Themen Vertriebsprozesse, Computer Aided Selling, Customer Relationship Management, Sales Force Automation, Electronic Collaboration und Verbesserungspotentiale verkaufsunterstützender Systeme unter den sich verändernden Marktbedingungen und den Rahmenbedingungen eines PMU's. Unter diesen Gesichtspunkt wird der Vertriebsprozess beleuchtet, um die kritischen Faktoren für den Erfolg herauszufiltern und diese als Ausgangsbasis für ein Computerunterstütztes Verkaufssystem heranzuziehen. Der Stand der Technik in diesem Segment wird vorgestellt, und die Hauptausprägungen CAS, SFA und CRM näher untersucht und beleuchtet. Aus all diesen theoretischen Ansätzen wurde im Zuge des Praktikums und der Diplomarbeit die Software COSIMA (Computer Sales Information & Marketing Assistant) bei der Fa. Greiner PURtec entwickelt. Anhand dieses Projektes werden die erzielbaren Verbesserungspotentiale von CAS/CRM Systemen dargestellt und bewertet. Die Einführung einer solchen Software hat aus vielerlei Gründen nur eine sehr geringe Erfolgswahrscheinlichkeit.
