About the Author: Dr. Behnam Bohluli is commonly considered a leader in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He has practiced across full scope of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery since his graduation. He has performed more than 4,000 major and several thousand minor oral surgery cases over his 17-year career. Dr. Bohluli is especially interested in treating failed surgical cases, as he believes a successful revision procedure can be indispensable in achieving the patient's goals. In addition to his busy clinical practice, he is actively involved in academia and scientific research. Dr. Bohluli has frequently lectured in international meetings, and his scientific efforts have led to 45 publications in major surgical journals and 25 book chapters commonly referenced in this field. Dr. Bohluli has had the opportunity to teach at the University of Toronto over the past years. This has allowed him to become accustomed to North American perspectives regarding surgical concepts. Shahrokh C. Bagheri, BS, DMD, MD, FACS, FICD, is Chief of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Northside Hospital, Atlanta and Forsyth, Georgia, USA and Co-Director of the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery (AACS)-certified Fellowship Program in Facial Cosmetic and Reconstructive Surgery. He is a Clinical Associate Professor of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Augusta University, Georgia. Dr. Bagheri gained his DMD cum laude from Harvard School of Dental Medicine in 1997 and received his MD from Emory Medical School in 2000. He completed training in oral and maxillofacial surgery and gained his board certification from the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. From 2010 to 2017 Dr. Bagheri served on the editorial board of the Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He is one of the first few OMF surgeons to be member of the American Society of Peripheral Nerve (ASPN). He has lectured nationally and internationally and is the author of more than 50 journal publications, many book chapters and the editor or co-editor of seven books.
Dr. Marco F. CaminitiBSc., DDS., MEd., Dip OMFS, FRCD(C), FACD
Dr. Caminiti is originally from Montreal and went to McGill University for Undergraduate studies in Anatomy and then completed his dental studies in 1991. He was in the Canadian Armed Forces from 1987-1994 with service with the United Nations in 1993. He came to Toronto for his residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. After residency he was a Surgical Education Fellow in the division of Surgery. He continued as the Walter Lorenz Fellow in Orthognathic Surgery in the Division of OMFS at the Toronto General Hospital.
Dr. Caminiti's practice and research is focused on surgical orthodontic virtual planning for the management of patients with facial deformities and the development and assessment of surgical skills.
