Wenn man nach Afrika fährt, dann so gut wie immer, um herrliche Landschaften, wilde Tiere und spektakuläre Sonnenauf- und - untergänge zu erleben und zu bewundern. Die dunkelhäutigen Bewohner sind als normale Menschen weit weniger interessant, es sei denn, sie reihten sich in das allgemeine Panoptikum ein, indem sie, möglichst noch in Baströckchen gekleidet, pittoreske Tanzdarbietungen zeigen. Alle sind sie zufrieden: der Löwe, der das Gnu geschlagen hat, die barbusige Himbafrau, die ihre Traditionen dem voyeuristischen Auge des Safariteilnehmers opfert, der dafür viele Devisen für seinen teuren Ökourlaub ins Land bringt, der Tourist, der all dies zur lieben Erinnerung filmt und fotografiert. Jene Seite Afrikas ist nicht Gegenstand dieses Buches! Die andere, dunkle, düstere, sehr, sehr fremde Seite wird beleuchtet, beschienen von einer "Nachtsonne", bei der es um ethnische Säuberungen geht. "Eine "Hand im Wind" klagt an, wie der Mythos Afrikas rücksichtlos vom Himmel geschossen wird. "Baundju" schildert eine Frau, die nach Strich und Faden belogen und ausgebeutet wird. "Muttertag" zeigt exemplarisch, dass man hier besser nicht homosexuell ist. In "Löwengebrüll" werfen sich schwarzer Bankräuber und weißer Polizist wechselseitig die Sünden von Vertretern ihrer Hautfarbe vor. "Im Zeichen des Tokoloshe" wird gedemütigt und verteufelt. About the Author: Johannes O. Jakobi, geboren 1948 in Schmalwasser/Sandberg (Bayrische Rhön), lebt heute in Schlangenbad. Nach dem Studium der Soziologie, Politologie und Germanistik promovierte er zum Doktor der Philosophie und arbeitete die folgenden Jahre als Studienrat an einem Frankfurter Gymnasium. Ein vierjähriger Aufenthalt in Namibia inspirierte ihn zu literarischen Arbeiten. Es entstanden zunächst der Band "Africamerone", eine Sammlung von Kurzgeschichten verschiedener namibischer Autoren der Literaturgruppe "Doppelpunkt", verlegt in Namibia, dann die beiden Bände von Kurzgeschichten in der Reihe Edition Literatur des Afra-Verlages "Der lange Tod der Hibiskusblüte" und "Im Haus der Nachtkatze"."Die schönen Töchter der Morbid Invest" widmen sich einem neuen Themenbereich: die Branchen eines Firmenimperiums.
