About the Author: Kathryn Bax, an adopted Australian and Drama Queen from an early age, spent her years at school mimicking various teachers and taking to the stage in annual school productions. Her 4 years at the University of Natal, Durban, resulted in a double degree in Psychology and English followed by a teaching diploma and years later a TESOL Diploma through Trinity College London. Her fascination with crime, fostered by her father's large collection of true crime stories, spurred her on to start a Masters in Forensic Science. Sadly, it was never completed due to her complicated family life. She kept writing, stashing manuscripts in cobwebby cupboards to be revived "one day." And now that day has come and she writes well-researched true crime stories. Married for 32 years to soulmate Philip with 3 wonderful kids, they have lived in Africa, New Zealand, Australia, Papua New Guinea, United Arab Emirates and now, finally Italy. She currently lives in Tuscany with far too many sheep, goats, cats, dogs, poultry... As well as running a successful homesteading website (articles published in the Huffington Post and Farmer's Almanac) she also spins and weaves. Now Kathryn, and her omg-we-have-so-many-things-in-common-it's-scary friend Fiona have produced several books together: Coloring Diva's Mandalas, and Coloring Diva's Stained Glass Mandalas Fiona Tankard is a Brit who has spent the last 22 years in Italy, first Umbria then Tuscany. She wrote her first book when she was eight. Her little friends loved its intriguing cast of animals and girls and splendid lack of adults and boys. After a degree in English and American Literature at Warwick University, a PGCE at Southampton University and a Dip TEFLA Fiona went into English Language teacher training in Bournemouth. She married fellow teacher Alan, falling in love with his wry wit and motorbike, and they went to live in a ruin in Umbria, taking a modest collection of dogs and cats with them. Twenty years of building, teaching, writing, creating UK glossy mag Italy and ghostwriting, (including an Amazon best seller) followed. There was a worrying increase in animal companions, often with a bit missing. In 2012 she bought some alpacas and learned to spin, weave and make strange scarves. After Alan's death this year, Fiona has had to dig so deep she is coming out the other side. But she believes in moving forward in life, so she and her friend Kathryn set up Drama Llama Press to publish wonderful books that change lives.
