En un contexto social y personal que no termina de comprender y revolucionada por un amor que desata locura, aparecerá en su vida una mujer excéntrica, que la empujará a enfrentarse al gran dilema del que huye, y cuyo secreto tendrá que verse obligada a desvelar.
Una historia de superación y amor, en un mundo lleno de prohibiciones y trabas incapaz de detener a una joven ciudadana resuelta a alcanzar la verdad... a cualquier precio. "Colores Prohibidos" va más allá de una historia de amor en el contexto de una sociedad muy represiva. Indaga en las contradicciones de una ciudadana, Mara, en el conflicto interno a raíz de una familia que no termina de encajar emocionalmente, de un lugar cuyo lugar de nacimiento cree que no debiera haber sido, un trasfondo de tinte políticos que dicta en exceso.
Y "Colores Prohibidos", en un intento de darle una forma coherente a todos esos matices, es un lugar que plantea preguntas, a las personas que buscan respuestas sobre la libertad, la locura del amor, la identidad, el arraigo, la familia...
La novela se sitúa en un mundo fantástico, la Ciudad de Ensueño, un escenario que quiere "transportar al lector a la realidad del pasado de la sociedad vasca".
La autora define esta dimensión fantástica no como una evasión de la realidad social y un pasado sin resolver, si no como una manera de acercarse a esa realidad, para nombrarla y encajarla en el presente.
"Colores Prohibidos" descubre una perspectiva invisibilizada, un emprendimiento de la memoria, dirigido a plantear preguntas sobre el pasado reciente en el País Vasco de cara a un futuro en el que las generaciones puedan vivir en paz, con independencia de la lengua, el origen y/o el arraigo.
About the Author: Soy Josune Murgoitio, escritora y periodista independiente (Mondragón, País Vasco, 1985). Tras estudiar derecho y periodismo en la Universidad Carlos III de Madrid, realicé un viaje a Bolivia y después volví al País Vasco con la intención de comprender. En Bolivia pude comprobar de cerca la veracidad de las condiciones del denominado Tercer Mundo. Allí tuve la oportunidad de visitar un penal, Palmasola; quedé fuertemente conmocionada por las condiciones en aquella prisión, contrarias a los derechos humanos. Expresé aquel impacto emocional en el relato El cerro de los instantes penitenciarios, premiado por la editorial Casiopea, Mujeres Viajeras. En una conversación con Cristina Morató, miembro del jurado que me otorgó el premio, la escritora me recomendó dedicarme a la literatura, y, a partir de ahí, empecé a concebir la novela que ahora os presento: Colores Prohibidos. La idea de escribir esta novela surgió de la necesidad de mostrar a las personas la obra que me hubiese gustado leer. Ha sido un proceso de creación y desarrollo largo, lo que en un primer momento pensé me llevaría un año, se ha alargado a cinco. Un camino bonito, duro, alegre y triste. Un viaje realmente apasionante. Compaginé el proceso de creación de Colores Prohibidos con colaboraciones en revistas y periódicos, así como con el desarrollo de mi blog-web Brave Readers. Comencé a viajar a Turquía, alternando estancias en este país y en el País Vasco, al tiempo que se definía mi inclinación por el periodismo de paz y las crónicas de viajes.
