Deleuze, d'Alberto Gualandi: Gilles Deleuze (1925-1995), est une des figures les plus controversees et les plus seduisantes de la philosophie contemporaine. Sa pensee, synonyme pour beaucoup de l'evenement-Mai 68, semble avoir ete oubliee par les milieux philosophiques institutionnels. Genie ruse ou innocent tricheur: a quoi tient la singularite de ce penseur excentrique? Ce livre essaye de repondre a cette question en soutenant que l'inactualite et le decalage de Deleuze sont une consequence de sa conception de l'etre immanent, de son desir de coupler de facon systematique une philosophie egalitaire de la Pensee-Culture a une philosophie univoque de l'etre-Nature. Dans cette perspective, les concepts deleuziens (intensite, syntheses, series, corps-sans-organe, pli, reseau, rhizome, eternel revenir de la difference, etc.) sont eclaircis et rattaches, dans leur nouveaute, a la grande tradition philosophique occidentale. Apparait alors une image presque classique de l'auteur de Difference et repetition, L'anti-Oedipe, Nietzsche et la philosophie et Spinoza et le probleme de l'expression. Foucault, de Pierre Billouet: Michel Foucault (1926-1984), philosophe paradoxal, professeur au College de France, militant politique et activiste social, a choque un monde mal remis de la mort de Dieu en lui annoncant la mort prochaine de l'homme: l'homme n'est qu'un effet de discours (Les Mots et les Choses, 1966) et d'assujettissement disciplinaire (Surveiller et punir, 1975). Foucault l'archeologue s'est d'abord interesse non aux surfaces mais aux profondeurs des domaines de savoir: la ou s'operent les ruptures qui font que, sous des homonymes, les epoques pensent en fait des objets differents. Ainsi a-t-il donne une Histoire de la Folie, une histoire du regard medical, Naissance de la clinique, et une histoire de la discipline, Surveiller et punir. Dans son Histoire de la sexualite (1976, 1984), Foucault a abandonne la methode archeologique et cherche a definir une esthetique de l'existence en relisant les Anciens. Cet essai examine les differentes perspectives que Foucault a donnees de son oeuvre et montre comment sa propre lecture de Kant lui a interdit de rester nietzscheen... Lacan, d'Alain Vanier: Jacques Lacan (1901-1981) etait-il un des grands penseurs de notre epoque, lui qui considerait la pensee comme une maladie? Un gourou, entrainant a sa suite une jeunesse fascinee? Un charlatan usant de facon illicite des enonces de la science, manipulant de facon peu academique la tradition philosophique? Un surrealiste egare dans la pensee serieuse? Une figure deroutante, assurement, n'occupant jamais la place a laquelle on voulait l'assigner. Celui qui a lu Freud, disait-il de lui, et qui a ainsi, incontestablement, reinvente la psychanalyse. On ne trouvera pas ici une explication du personnage Lacan mais une presentation de ses concepts majeurs - Reel-Symbolique-Imaginaire, stade du miroir, sujet, signifiant, Autre, objet a, trait unaire, phallus, Nom-du-Pere, matheme, noeud borromeen, etc. - avec lesquels il a deroute et entraine sur des chemins ignores - qui n'appartenaient pourtant qu'a ceux qui le suivaient: tache du psychanalyste que Lacan a incarne sans concession.
