Meet Sera. Journalist. Outcast. Firestarter.
Heat Up the Night...Heed the Call.
Gossip mag reporter Sera Benenati knows a thing or two about unearthing secrets...and burying them. As an unregistered supernatural, her freedom depends on keeping her fire-wielding abilities contained. Yet the threat of a little flame isn't enough to snuff out her journalistic pursuits. She's determined to claw her way to the top and land a spot with a real paper.
When she tracks a lead on a string of gruesome paranormal murders to the small town of Buckhorn, Arizona, she's certain she's landed the perfect scoop. But as the crime scene reveals victims with bite marks, torn flesh, and battered bodies, Sera may have smoked out more than she can burn. As the investigation grows hot and Sera winds up in the crosshairs, she'll need the help of a sexy shifter, special agent Talon Rede, to unmask the murderers before she becomes the next victim.
"A cast of vampires, psychics, and shape-shifters delivers...witty quips that round out this solid example of the genre." - PUBLISHER'S WEEKLY ★★★★★
AUTHOR INTERVIEW
Q: Why do you write?
A: The voices in my head tell me to? I kid, but it's not far off. Telling stories is an act of necessity and passion for most writers. It's hard to imagine not writing, even if it's been some time in between stories. Our imaginations are always firing, and the drive to write eventually overcomes us. It's an impulse impossible to ignore.
Q: What do you write?
A: Everything under the sun, but my favorites are paranormal romance that brings in the suspense, urban fantasy, and contemporary romance. I'll try just about any style in the romance world, but these have stuck with me longest. Below follows the reading order for my different series.
PARANORMAL CRIMES DIVISION
- Code Black
- Red Alert
- M. I. A.
KEY SERIES
- A TOUCH OF DARKNESS
- A KISS OF SHADOWS
NOCTURNE FALLS UNIVERSE
- The Dragon's Magical Bride
Q: Why should readers pick up your books?
A: Dynamic characters! I like to get inside a character's head and connect with the hero or heroine. I also love to write villains or anti-heroes, the ones you love to hate. I want the reader to go on the journey with these characters, not simply be told about them. My goal is to make you feel something, whether it's happiness or sadness, love or hate, anger or excitement!
