About the Author

Santhosh Babu is the founder Managing Director of ODA (Organisation Development Alternatives Consultancy Pvt. Ltd.). Born and raised in Thrissur, Kerala, he started his career as a school teacher in faraway Bhutan, a five-year stint that stoked his interest in all things being taught. In 1994, Santhosh shifted to Delhi to work with the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) as an Environmental Education Officer. In 1998, he took the plunge and started his own training firm, Training Alternatives (TA), out of his small apartment in Noida. But the combination of his facilitation skills and his expertise in psychology and hypnosis helped TA establish itself as a market leader in two years itself. Today, one of the most sought-after executive coaches in India, Santhosh Babu focuses on transformation-related projects, leadership development and CEO coaching---he has done interventions for more than 100 organisations in the past. Reflecting this lateral shift, TA was rebranded in 2008 as OD Alternatives. He is a sought-after keynote speaker and has addressed large number of conferences in India and abroad. Santhosh also lectures at the ISB (Indian School of Business, Hyderabad) for their MBA program and for their Executive Education program. A staunch conservationist and a wildlife photographer, Santhosh contributes regularly to a bevy of publications including The Economic Times, Business Standard and Hindustan Times. His paper on ‘Whole System Transformation: Indian Perspectives’ is a chapter in a book, OD: Accelerating Learning and Transformation.
