About the Book
Critical Thomas takes hateful comments made by Phil Robertson, star of Duck Dynasty, as a lens through which to examine conservative white Americans' deeper attitudes, especially as grounded in using religion to justify intolerance of racial and sexual minorities. He also postulates that God created Adam and Eve, whose progeny procreated with Neanderthals and Denisovans, who evolved over thousands maybe millions of years, before God destroyed them through the great Noah flood. He further argues that White people are responsible for most of the problems in America today, and many across the globe, because they elect most city, county, all state and the controlling majorities in the U.S. house and Senate bodies that are destroying the country. Yet they blame much of the country's ills on nearly powerless minorities. He dialogues that Whites are short of critical thinking skills. Most explosively he portends that there will be few White people in heaven, and that White Christians, especially, conservative Evangelical Christians, are, perhaps not really Christians. He is an avid believer in science and maintains that White Christians should "stop flummoxing" students with bible non-sense since the Bible is not a science book, and never was intended to be. He argues that Jesus has existed for more than a few billions of years, and so has the earth.IF YOU ARE A CHRISTIAN, YOU MUST READ ABOUT CHRISTIANS AND SCIENCE, CAIN'S PROGENY'S INTERACTIONS WITH NEANDERTHAL AND DENISOVAN, THE APOCALYPSE, AND WHY SO MANY CHRISTIANS ARE GOING TO HELL!
About the Author: Critical Thomas, now in his eighties, was born in Lilburn, Georgia, the deep south, just after the great depression and during the Jim Crow-era. His family moved to Decatur, then Atlanta, Georgia while he was in elementary school. He attended segregated public elementary and high schools. At the age of 17, he joined the U.S. Marine Corps serving three years and was honorably discharged. During his 3-year tour, he sent three months in the Caribbean, six months with the Navy cruising the Mediterranean, and then fourteen months in Japan, serving in the Korean theater. The other months were spent at Parris Island, Camp Lejeune, Camp Pendleton, San Francisco Naval Station, and Albany, GA. After returning to Atlanta and working at the U.S. Post Office, he attempted to enroll at one of the state colleges. Because of his race, he was refused admission. Then he matriculated at Ohio University, and worked for a U.S. juvenile reformatory. When the reformatory closed the government transferred him to Chicago, where he continued his education at Roosevelt University. There he received a BGS in computer technology and a Master of Science. In Chicago, he worked for 33 years as a computer programmer/system analyst, operations planning coordinator, applications software project manager, and retired as a senior project engineer. He also was an adjunct at City Colleges of Chicago. After moving to Florida, he completed a certificate program at Indian River State College, with Florida Department of Education certifications in computer science, exceptional student education, reading, and English for Speakers of Other Language (ESOL). He attended a certificate program at Florida Atlantic University in Educational leadership. He was principal of a high school for delinquent boys for seven years. Critical has been a church believer most of his life. At a mega church in Chicago, he was director of education for many years. Researching the Bible is one of his passions. His father was a fundamentalist preacher, and taught him how to research the Bible using concordances, expositions, systematic theologies, dictionaries, geographies, and he has read volumes on Josephus, Foxe, Origen, Ignatius, St. Augustine, etc., and too many American theologians to list.
