About the Book

In Christianity Matters, David Maloof provides a survey of the trends that moved civilization forward, placing the work of history's great individual Christian peace and justice activists who followed the pure message of the Beatitudes and inspired those trends into context.

"A hopeful account of how faithful Christians have contributed to a better world ... clear evidence that one person can make a difference ... a challenge to each of us to live what we claim to believe." -- Marie Dennis, Co-President of Pax Christi International

"David Maloof's Christianity Matters is a thoughtful, compelling analysis of the impact of Christ's life on humanity, told through the actions of those inspired by Jesus ... a great read." -- Jay Sullivan, Author of Raising Gentle Men: Lives at the Orphanage Edge

"A lovely book and an accurate one." -- Professor Rodney Stark, Baylor University Distinguished Professor of the Social Sciences, Author of The Rise of Christianity

Dave Maloof has over the years distinguished himself as one of America's leading international lawyers, as an award winning investigative reporter seen on public television, as an Adjunct Professor, and as a powerful international peace activist pressing for human rights reforms and peace in the Middle East.

About the Author: Dave Maloof is the senior partner in Maloof Browne & Eagan LLC, an international law firm based in New York. He and his firm have handled some of the most high profile transportation casualties throughout the world and American Shipper Magazine has described Dave as "a leading attorney for shippers and cargo insurers." He has received Martindale-Hubbell's highest rating for skill and integrity, and been repeatedly named a "Super Lawyer." Previously Dave was a highly-acclaimed investigative reporter seen on public television, uncovering government corruption, and winning major awards from the Associated Press and The Society of Professional Journalists. He is a phi beta kappa graduate of Columbia University and a graduate of the University of Virginia Law School. Dave has taught law at St. John's University and at Roger Williams University School of Law. Dave and his family have volunteered at and sponsored athletics at a Christian refugee camp in the Middle East, and he currently holds a leadership position in a Christian international peace group, Churches for Middle East Peace. Pax Christi Metro New York annually awards the Maloof Family Young Peacebuilder Awards to the local Catholic high school students in the New York area who have done the most to promote peace. Dave and his wife Jean have two adult children and reside in Darien, Connecticut, where they attend Catholic Church, and where for a decade he organized his church's Men's forum.
