CHRIST FORMED IN YOU BY THE HOLY GHOST God is a good God and a God of love, yet many of us as Christians do not realize how much God truly loves us or to the depths that He can reveal His love unto us His beloved, yet scripture says it like this. Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us... Ephesians 3:20 When I was first born again (saved) I never knew that God could form Christ Jesus in me as a believer, yet over the years God has proved unto me that the Holy Ghost ministry in us, does just that. However many Christians do not even realize or know this scriptural fact, yet it is so true. I believe that if many of Gods Children knew that God could form Christ Jesus in us by the power of our spiritual teacher the Holy Ghost, many Christians would pursue after the very heart of God for more of His loving grace, to be made known in their lives, as a Christians heart is set on fire for Gods all, to become manifested in their life also. Spiritual growth begins when a Child of God desires' more of God and begins to make changes in their life to reflect, what a Christian should look and act like, doing everything to conduct one's self as a Holy vessel of God. Why? So every Child of God will try to please our heavenly Father, in everything that we do, this giving God the right away in our life, to begin His workmanship in us, as He truly wills, as He forms Christ Jesus in us as we walk with God, as Sons and Daughters. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them. Ephesians 2:10 God has ordained that we become transformed, by the renewing of our mind. I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. Romans 12:1-2 I have read many times in God's Word, about having my mind renewed. As God began to do many spiritual works in me over a period of eighteen years of serving God with all of my heart, God worked amazing things in me spiritually and He truly renewed my mind by the awaking and spiritual education that He gave me by all the things that He taught me over the amount of years, as the Holy Ghost communed with me and me with Him, teaching me things that are spiritual to enlighten me and to renew my minds thinking, by everything I have learned. However this is not the way things are happening in many believers' lives. In fact many believers are not renewed in their minds yet, to any great degree for many and this is not Gods will or best for us in the ministry of the Holy Ghost in every believer, God wants to change these things through and by proper teachings such as this one. For Gods Children to get back on course biblically, for every Child of God to become perfected as God truly desires to do in us, as Gods forming Christ Jesus in us all by His Spirit. I never knew that God had many things to work in me, when I, became born again by His Spirit. I wonder how many other Christians haven't realized some of these things that we are teaching about today as you read this little book, yet you know this book is teaching in a needed area and you yourself may realize your need for Gods help, in renewing your mind and transforming you as God forms Christ Jesus in you, as you serve Him whole heartily, as a Holy vessel. There are many things that God does in us to form Christ Jesus in us, yet many of these things are not realized by many in the Body of Christ. In Gods Brilliance, in the plan of salvation, His Spirit instills the Love of Jesus in every Child of God, we are to be full of compassion for the lost and hurting, and we are to have the Fruits of the Spirit also.
About the Author: My name is Pastor Luke L. Chapman. I haven't always been a preacher, quite the contrary. When I was a young teenager everyone always said: "Boy what a good kid Luke is. He is a wonderful young man." Because of a stepfather that had no love for me, my clothes were packed for me and placed on the front porch on Christmas morning. Arrangements were already made for a near friend to pick me up to take me to my real dad's home. This became a cycle unto me. I learned soon to take flight in life, realizing I'm on my own. I was kicked out of school for truancy, failure to want to go to school and to learn. This started a foundation for my life, for my ongoing future. My new friends taught me how to smoke, drink, and cuss and to tell lies. I graduated to smoking weed and using cocaine. I never drank or used cocaine on a regular basis. I just started on weekends or invited parties. I got married and had a Child when I was 21 years old. But, with a lifestyle of drinking, spending money in bars and not on bills or in my home, I soon went through a divorce. Does this sound familiar, like today's youths? At this time, now I'm remarried my wife and I are both cocaine addicts. My wife smoked weed? I sold weed and cocaine to supply our habits. My wife left me one day. I was arrested the same day and put in jail. In jail, I bowed my knees on the floor in my cell. I was the only one there that day. I called upon Jesus and was saved and sent to North Central Correctional Institution. I never thought anyone cared. But I was so wrong. What was meant for evil for me, God changed for the good. Prison became My Bible College. Prison was where God counseled me about my morals. God taught me about being a good husband, a good father unto my Children and how a preacher must live and act. I served six and a half years in prison to learn not do use drugs, not to walk through life aimlessly. I learned my lesson. God raised me up to be a preacher in prison. Prison was my lifesaver. Wow, what a statement one might say! The reason prison was my lifeline was I could have graduated to the other side of life... Six Feet Down. I almost did!
