About the Book

Children are enthralled by Jesus and His works. They need to take it further and know what the miracles He worked signify in terms of the present day in which we live. The stories cover the miracles Jesus performed that brought dramatic change to people's lives for the glory of God. Readers will be edified in as far as being made au fait with the relevance of Jesus' coming and His fully accomplished mission on earth. Knowing Jesus through His miracles may contribute towards deepening the faith of the reader of The Children's Jesus (Son of Almighty God). The book is written in conversational style. Mother and daughter (Dad makes two appearances) converse casually throughout the book. Zoë is in Grade three and she speaks as a child in grade three asking questions her mother answers. Aretha, her mother, makes it clear that the concepts she does not understand will become clearer with maturity. The telling of Jesus' stories will not go over the head of a grade three child. Short excerpt: "Once a woman came crying to Him at the top of her voice, "Help me, please, my daughter has a demon... a devil, in her. Help her, please." Jesus ignored her and the disciples asked Him to send her away because she was being a nuisance..." "Oh, Mama, is that really true? Are you teasing me?" "Listen, my darl... Jesus looked at her and said, "I was sent to the lost sheep of Israel" meaning the Jewish people who were in need of God's mercy. The woman threw herself at Jesus' feet and said, "Please help me, Lord." Jesus answered her. He said, "It's not right to take the children's bread and give it to the dogs..." "No, Mama, Jesus never said a thing like that!" Zoë sounded close to tears. "Oh, baby, hear the whole story first. Those words didn't put her off. She showed that her need was so great, those words were not going to put her off. Her daughter was more important than her feelings.
About the Author: Natisha Parsons is a born again believer, a retired teacher, who loves children and is keen for all children everywhere to get to know Jesus Christ better. He is a wonderful person and not a religion! He wants to be everyone's every day friend. Ms Parsons is South African and lives on the South Coast of KwaZulu-Natal Province, the most beautiful place on Planet Earth. She is keen to see all children get to know Jesus and the kindness He shows to all people regardless of who they are or where they live. She is an active member of the body of Christ and simply loves to tell people about the love of God. He gave us Jesus as a mark of His unconditional love. "Behold what manner He has shown that we should be called the children of Almighty God," architect and creator of the Universe. He loves the world so much that He sent His only begotten Son so that all who believe in Him should be saved (from eternal destruction) and not perish. He is God and His word is truth. At 45 Ms Parsons gave her life to Jesus Christ and it was as though she had stepped out of darkness and into pure light. The change to her life was so dramatic, she hasn't been able to keep quiet about the grace of God that changes sinners and makes them saints. Biblical saints are not long dead people whose humanity is being recognised - they are the children of God, alive and living here on earth. The author believes that this book should be edifying not only for children, but for anyone who wants to know the Saviour of the world better. Someone said Jesus' mission is the greatest rescue mission in the history of creation, and that is so true. Heaven is for those who choose it while still in the body.
