About the Book

How Four Simple Words Changed Everything

In 2010, Dr. Alanna Bree was a successful pediatric dermatologist when she heard four unmistakable words from God. Stunned, and with only a mustard seed of faith, she listened as God's plans began to unfold in her life while fulfilling His mission of hope and healing.

A Children's House is the miraculous true journey of how one doctor risked everything to follow a calling-with a passion to positively impact the lives of children and teens around the world who are affected by skin disease and birthmarks.

Here are what readers around the world are saying about this inspirational true story:

"A personal, moving testimony illustrating God's grace. Dr. Bree takes you on a journey that will strengthen your faith. I couldn't put it down!" -David Stevens, MD, MA (Ethics), CEO, Christian Medical & Dental Associations, Author of Servant Leadership

"Wherever Dr. Alanna travels, wherever she is set up to support the kids in her life, there will be love and beauty and laughs and inspiration and joy! It is such an honor to bear witness to the world through her stunning eyes." -Rick Guidotti, Founder and Director, Positive Exposure

"A book that touches the soul-and a reminder that there is no depth or height that life takes us where God's love can't reach us." - Diane Tribitt, CEO and Founder of D'Lyric Inspired, leader of the Houston Vitiligo Awareness Movement

"A joyous testimony of how God orchestrates even the smallest details of our lives for his good! Through powerful stories of purpose, uncertainty, fear, and love, we see that God moves mountains in our obedience. A Children's House will leave you encouraged and challenged in your faith, with a renewed determination to live daily to bring glory to our great Father." - Courtney Westlake, author of A Different Beautiful

"A light shines brightly at A Children's House, where hope and healing are poured out on all who enter. Dr. Bree has answered a divine calling to be love in action for God's precious children, and those touched by her healing hands and heart will never be the same." - Claire Frazier, Mother of a patient of A Children's House

"Here is an amazing story of how God works through us when we toss out our plans, let Him in, and allow His will to be done. Dr. Bree is living the life God created for her to live, and it is extraordinary." - Stephanie Alanis, Previous patient and Camp Discovery counselor
