We each have an overarching purpose in this life that is more important than our desire to succeed and to have the most possessions-and that is to preserve the earth that has sustained us since Creation. But with the many disasters we have endured--and caused--this world needs more attention than it once did.
The poems and reflections in Children Offer Peace: A Spiritually Organic Peace- Poems, Reflections and Virtues invite you to consider the ways in which you can be more supportive of others in your daily life, how you can turn your fears into loving and peacemaking actions that complement creation, and how you can rearrange your life in order to reflect peace and joy.
Amid the spiritual reflections, virtues, and poems you will discover within this book, you'll find the inspiration to become a change agent for peace and reach your true potential as a spiritual human being, creating a connection with God, the earth, and humanity itself. We only have so long on this planet, and it is our job to treat it with the same reverence and love with which it was created.
About the Author: As a young man, Al Drinkwine served his country in the US Air Force. After resigning form a position with the US Navy, he became an active member of Veterans for Peace. His wife, Jerrie, understanding his desire for activism, invited him to become a missionary, and together, they traveled to Ghana, Africa, and taught in a Buddhist temple in Bangkok, Thailand.
Now retired and the author of three other books, he challenged his writing abilities with Children Offer Peace by incorporating a different perspective into the text. With this book of reflections and poetry, Drinkwine stepped out of the traditional box to bring new depth to his work while still delivering a powerful call for change that is more important in our world today than ever before.
