About the Author: Robert R. Maldonado, PhD, is a healer, teacher, and retired military officer. He spent his career as a US Marine Corps helicopter pilot and with the elite Air Commandos of the Air Force Special Operations Command. Upon retirement, he taught elementary and middle school.
Maldonado holds certifications in energy medicine, healing touch, Barbara Brennan healing science, Reiki, shamanism, and is an ordained minister and Siddha in transcendental meditation. He is also a teacher of integral Chinese qigong and tai chi.
Maldonado holds a PhD in energy medicine from Akamai University where he is adjunct professor of complementary and alternative medicine. He is the author of Calling of the Heart: A journey in Self-Healing, which describes his personal experiences in transformation as a healer
He resides in Fairhope, Alabama, where he lives with his wife Ellen, cat Maggie, and dog Buddy and works as a writer, healer, and teacher.
