About the Author:
Dr. Shikha Gupta, M.D. works as Associate Professor, at Dr. Rajendra Prasad Centre for Ophthalmic Sciences, All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi. Dr. Gupta graduated in Medicine and completed post graduation in Ophthalmology from AIIMS, New Delhi. Subsequently, she obtained super specialty training in Glaucoma, Cornea, Refractive Surgery, and Pediatric Cataract from Dr. Rajendra Prasad Centre for Ophthalmic Sciences, AIIMS. Dr. Gupta has co-authored over 110 peer reviewed research papers in Ophthalmology. She is the editor ' Textbook of Pterygium Management. 2016. Jaypee Medical Publishers'. Besides she has written many chapters for books on glaucoma. She is currently conducting research on congenital glaucomas.Dr. Gupta has received research awards and Young Investigator awards by various international and national societies like the ARVO (2021), World Glaucoma Congress (2015), American Academy of Ophthalmology (2010), Asia ARVO (2011), All India Ophthalmological Society (2012, 2016), Glaucoma Society of India (2016) and the Delhi Ophthalmological Society (2012, 2014) on multiple occasions. She is working towards better clinical diagnosis and management of patients with congenital glaucomas and is an active member of Indian Pediatric Glaucoma Society.
Dr. Karthikeyan Mahalingam works as a Senior Resident in Dr. Rajendra Prasad Centre for Ophthalmic Sciences, AIIMS, New Delhi since 2019. Has 26 research publications with 32 citations (Indexed: 18) and 3 chapters. H-Index: 3 and i10-Index: 1. Received 'Glaucoma award' instituted by Late Shri Janardhan Prasad at Dr. Rajendra Prasad Centre for Ophthalmic Sciences on March 2021, Second prize in glaucoma interesting cases: DOS 2020, First prize in glaucoma free paper (as Co-Author): DOS 2020, First prize in Eureka, case reports: EMPOWER 2013. Has many ongoing research activities in field of glaucoma.

Prof. Viney Gupta is Professor of Ophthalmology, Glaucoma Services of Dr Rajendra Prasad Centre for Ophthalmic Sciences, All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi, with special interests in Congenital glaucomas, juvenile glaucomas, surgical glaucoma and glaucoma genetics. He did Glaucoma Fellowship at Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital (Australia)( 2007-2008). He has more than 170 indexed publications in Ophthalmology particularly Glaucoma in peer reviewed journals. He is the author of 2 books one on Ocular Therapeutics and the other on Glaucoma management as part of the initiative of the Glaucoma Society of India. He is currently spearheading Glaucoma genetic Projects esp genetics of Juvenile open angle glaucoma. He has been awarded with special honors: AC Aggarwal Trophy for best free paper at Delhi Ophthalmological Society Meeting (2004), second prize for best poster at Annual Meeting of European Glaucoma Society, Florence, Italy (2004), best Clinical Research paper at AIIMS ( 2015). He also serves as the Examiner for Post graduates for the University of Malaysia. He has mentored post graduate thesis in Glaucoma of more than 50 students. Dr Gupta founded the Indian Pediatric glaucoma Society and is currently serving as the President of the Society.
