About the Book

About the Author

Dr. Mira Das Professor in Chemistry is the Associate Dean, School of Sciences, Humanities and Social Sciences, Institute of Technical Education & Research, S’O’A, Bhubaneswar. She did her M.Sc. degree in Chemistry from Ravenshaw College and her Ph.D. degree in sensitive area of Environmental Chemistry from Utkal University. With 24 years of teaching experience , she has contributed to the curriculum of chemistry for Utkal University, BPTU and Siksha ‘O’ Anusandhan University. Her field of research is Environment Chemistry. Dr. Rashmi Acharya is Associate Professor in Chemistry at Institute of Technical Education & Research, S’O’A, Bhubaneswar. He did his M.Sc. in Chemistry from Ravenshaw College & Ph.D. from Utkal University. With 10 years of teaching experience he is also actively engaged in research activities. His work on the synthesis and characterization of transition metal oxides and hydroxides of nanosize has been acclaimed as an insightful work. For his significant contribution in hydrometallurgy and preparation and characterization of turbostratic nickel hydroxide, Indian Institute of Metals, Kolkata conferred him Nilamani Devi Biswanath Das Award in 2004.
