Diplomarbeit aus dem Jahr 1999 im Fachbereich Medien / Kommunikation - Multimedia, Internet, neue Technologien, Note: 1, Hochschule für Musik und Theater Hannover, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Das Internet bietet, im Gegensatz zu den anderen Medien, eine Vielzahl von Nutzungs- und Interaktionsmöglichkeiten. Darüber hinaus ist es von seinen Nutzungsmöglichkeiten her viel offener, wobei aber nicht einzelne als ursächlich für die Internetnutzung angesehen werden können. Die Internetnutzer werden daher mit vielfältigen und unterschiedlichen Nutzungserwartungen und -präferenzen an das Medium herangehen. Produzenten von Webauftritten, die hohe Reichweiten erzielen sollen, müssen die Offenheit des Mediums berücksichtigen. WWW-Präsenzen sollten so gestaltet werden, daß sich möglichst viele Nutzer von ihnen angesprochen fühlen, diese sich möglichst lange auf den Webseiten aufhalten und auch oft wiederkommen. Die Inhalte sollten also möglichst gut auf die Nutzungsmuster der Besucher der Seiten abgestimmt sein. Trotz der Bedeutung solcher Informationen liegen zur Zeit noch kaum empirisch gesicherte Erkenntnisse zu diesem Themenbereich vor. Ziel dieser Arbeit ist daher die Entwicklung einer Nutzertypologie für Internet-Nutzer. Diese kann entscheidende Anhaltspunkte für die Konzeption der Inhalte von WWW-Auftritten geben. Aus den vielen Nutzungsparametern werden kohärente Gruppen gebildet, die wiederum die Nutzungsmuster der Internet-User widerspiegeln sollen. Informationen über diese Gruppen erlauben es, Internet-Präsenzen inhaltlich gezielter auf die Bedürfnisse ihrer Nutzer abzustimmen, bzw. spezielle Angebotskombinationen für bestimmte Nutzergruppen zu erstellen. Zur Bildung der Nutzertypologie werden Nutzer der Suchmaschine Fireball zu ihrer Internet-Nutzung, ihren Nutzungsinteressen und ihrer individuellen Internet-Erfahrung befragt.
