Hinzu kommt, dass Work-Life-Balance aufgrund der Zunahme von außerberuflichen Tätigkeiten, mangelnder Betreuungszeiten in Kindergärten oder des Zeitdrucks durch steigender Mobilität immer wichtiger wird. Die Bedürfnisse der Mitarbeiter nach flexiblen Arbeiten auch hinsichtlich des persönlichen Arbeitsplatzes bzw. den Rahmenbedingungen gewinnen an Bedeutung. "Die örtliche und zeitliche Flexibilität von Arbeit kann [...] als gesamtwirtschaftlicher Trend angesehen werden." Wie lässt sich dieser Trend aber in die Praxis umsetzen? Change Management als eine der wichtigsten Management-Aufgaben soll hier als Unterstützung zur Einführung der Arbeitsflexibilität dienen und Handlungsempfehlungen abgeben . Da schätzungsweise 70 Prozent der betrieblichen Veränderungsprozesse scheitern, wird dem Change Prozess eine große Bedeutung beigemessen. Ziel der Arbeit ist somit die Untersuchung der Erfolgsfaktoren und aller wesentlichen Arbeitspakete für einen erfolgreichen Change Prozess. Dabei spielen insbesondere die emotionalen Reaktionen der Mitarbeiter eine große Rolle. Es stellt sich grundsätzlich die Frage, inwiefern der Change Prozess zur Bewältigung dieser Herausforderungen beitragen kann.
