Studienarbeit aus dem Jahr 2011 im Fachbereich BWL - Unternehmensführung, Management, Organisation, Note: 1,0, Hamburger Fern-Hochschule, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Change Management spielt in vielen Unternehmen eine zentrale Rolle. So stufen von 116 befragten Unternehmen aus Deutschland, Österreich und der Schweiz im Jahr 2009 38% dieses Thema als "sehr wichtig" ein, weitere 54% betrachten es als "wichtig". Zum Vergleich: Im Jahr 2007 waren es noch 36% der Befragten, die Change Management für "sehr wichtig" und 50%, die es für "wichtig" hielten. In Zukunft wird dem Change Management sogar eine noch höhere Bedeutung beigemessen werden: Rund 95% der an der Befragung beteiligten Unternehmen erwarten eine bedeutende Rolle (sowohl "sehr wichtig" als auch "wichtig") von Change Management im Jahre 2012. Im Gegensatz hierzu sinkt die Zahl derer, die dem Change Management einen eher geringen bis unbedeutenden Stellenwert zukommen lassen, von Jahr zu Jahr. Es ist also deutlich zu erkennen, dass das Change Management eine immer größere Relevanz innerhalb der Managementaufgaben erfährt (vgl. Capgemini Consulting, online im Internet). Die Gründe, die eine solche Veränderung veranlassen, liegen auf der Hand: Finanzkrise und Klimawandel in einer globalisierenden Welt sind nur ein Auszug von Motiven, aus denen sich Unternehmen vor ganz neuen Herausforderungen sehen, die es nun zu bewältigen gilt. Wandel ist ein unverzichtbares Element zur permanenten Verbesserung von Leistungs- und Wettbewerbsfähigkeit von Unternehmen. Trotz des Wissens um die Notwendigkeit von organisatorischem Wandel stößt das Change Management auf Widerstand von vielen Seiten innerhalb der Unternehmen. Warum das so ist und wie mit diesen umgegangen werden kann, wird im Rahmen dieser Hausarbeit vorgestellt.
