Bisher ist kaum erforscht, wie die Chancengleichheit in Kindertagesstätten und Kindergärten umgesetzt wird. Darüber soll dieses Buch Auskunft geben. Es wird untersucht, ob alle Kinder in einer Gruppe innerhalb der Kindertagesstätte den gleichen Zugang zu Möglichkeiten und Chancen haben, oder ob dieser durch das von Wertungen geprägte Verhalten des pädagogischen Fachpersonals verhindert wird. Dieser Untersuchung liegt die Annahme zugrunde, dass diskriminierende und benachteiligende Verhaltensweisen auch auf PädagogInnen und ErzieherInnen in Kindergärten und Kindertagesstätten zu übertragen sind. Es besteht die Vermutung, dass das Hinterfragen der eigenen Objektivität in Einstellung und Verhalten oftmals als schwierig zu erachten ist.
