Studienarbeit aus dem Jahr 2015 im Fachbereich Theaterwissenschaft, Tanz, Note: 1,3, Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Der im Jahr 1992 erschienene Erotikthriller "Basic Instinct" von Regisseur Paul Verhoeven sowie Michael Douglas und Sharon Stone in den Hauptrollen erregt damals mit seiner Thematik der mörderischen Frau in der Hauptrolle viel Aufmerksamkeit. Der Film behandelt das Bild der Femme fatale der Neunziger Jahre und ist heute ein Sinnbild für diese Beschreibung der Frau. Die weibliche Figur Catherine Tramell, welche von Sharon Stone gespielt wird, gilt als männermordende Femme fatale, die ihre Opfer erst sexuell verführt, bevor sie sie heimtückisch tötet. Als Hauptverdächtige in einem Mordfall lernt sie den Polizisten Nick Curran kennen, welcher dem Anschein des Filmes nach ihr nächstes Opfer werden soll. Der Film thematisiert den Frauentypus der verhängnisvollen Frau und benutzt dafür das Verhältnis von der weiblichen Hauptdarstellerin Catherine zu dem Polizisten Nick, wie auch zu den anderen weiblichen Rollen des Films. Dabei endet der Film jedoch mit der offenen Frage, welche der Frauen die wahre Mörderin gewesen ist. Doch was genau versteht man unter den Begriff Femme fatale und was macht Catherine Tramell zu dieser Art von Frau? Diese Frage versuche ich in meiner Arbeit anhand der berühmten Verhörszene des Films zu beantworten. Dabei beziehe ich mich auf das von Joe Eszterhas geschriebene Drehbuch zu dem Film "Basic Instinct".
About the Author: Manuela Hans studierte an der Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München Theaterwissenschaften im Hauptfach und Rechtswissenschaften im Nebenfach. Dabei legte sie ihren Schwerpunkt auf das Medium Film.
