Su calidad ya se anuncia en el excelente prólogo de autoría del talentoso poeta y psicólogo Alufa-Licuta Oxoronga, que sacia su hambre poética degustando las recetas sofisticadas y exóticas del "Chef" Evan, como análoga y metafóricamente sintió los bellos versos del autor. Así como la sombra del viajero Nietzsche, autor que Evan tanto admira, su alma es poeta y filósofa, desparramando sus eclécticos y sensibles poemas en las páginas receptivas de CATARSIS y extasiándonos con la profundidad de cada uno de ellos. Se observa en su obra la dicotomía entre la esperanza y la desesperanza, que se queda evidente en el bello "soneto del amor improbable", de influencia claramente VINICIANA, en "desesperación y desesperanza" y en "murió la esperanza", entre otros versos. Hay un latente pesimismo nihilista del autor concierne a la nuestra sociedad lograr llegar, o regresar, al estándar de ética y decoro político y social ideal, preocupación que es de todos nosotros. En contrapartida, exalta en muchos versos la vida y la necesidad de sobrepasar el "status quo" de la humanidad, insistiendo en la espiritualidad del hombre, en la eternidad del amor y de la poesía.Sin embargo, el autor no se prende a un solo tema. Dilata su talento en otras motivaciones, viajando, con mucha competencia, desde la metafísica de la religiosidad y espiritualidad, hasta la de los gestos lascivos de la temporalidad materialista del débil ser humano, sorprendiéndonos a cada página. Deslumbrado, tal vez, un día - tal cual Vinícius cuando descubrió la libertad de hacer versos blancos con la misma calidad y belleza de sus versos clásicos, huyendo, así, de las limitaciones impuestas por la métrica y por la rima - produjo un controversia poema que no forma parte de este libro, pero que ha causado, en la época, reacciones injuriadas de muchos otros poetas que no lo entendieron.
