About the Book

Tommy Frayne, President of the PIC for the next mystery, sees an ad in the newspaper offering a reward if someone finds a missing dog. The PIC decides to take on this challenge, using the cover story that they are looking for business for Dick's Lawn Service. They are wildly successful in getting lawn mowing business, but have no success in finding the missing collie. They have to expand the club to 25 members, auction off items their customers don't need, and, somehow, find the hidden hound. They get into trouble when some officials do what Bobby calls a "Bee Sting" trick on them. Luckily, their police officer club member, Tanya Patel, comes to their rescue.
About the Author: William Jenkins lives in Ontario, Canada at the World Headquarters of Your ESL Story Publishers Ltd. (a.k.a. the summer cottage) on Scott Island, Newboro Lake in the Rideau Canal system linking Ottawa and Kingston. During the winter hibernation, he travels to Vancouver, B.C., where the climate is considerably warmer than in Ontario. Mr. Jenkins enjoys writing these mystery stories and hopes that they bring some enjoyment to the readers. He lived in Brockville, the setting for the PIC series for seven years after retiring from a career of 45 years in the computer field. He is married, has three children and six grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. His daughter, June Winterflood, teaches ESL in Basel Switzerland and is the one who encouraged him to take up writing children's stories in his retirement. Mr. J, as he is known in the stories, enjoys poking fun at his own frailties. However, he is not above poking fun at others (See The Case of the Electrified Envoy where one of the characters, a university professor, is kidded about his chances of getting a Nobel Prize for his contribution to travel to "other worlds"). Mr. J. would appreciate getting feedback on his stories, positive or negative. Feel free to contact him at williamhenryjenkins@gmail.com. His website is http: //www.williamjenkins.ca
