La tarde del veintiséis de mayo de 2016 un grupo importante de la élite del teatro de Ciudad de León se reúnen para realizar la lectura de la obra teatral: Estamos en el aire, último texto de Tomas Rujano, importante dramaturgo de la ciudad y del país. A la lectura son convidados por el dramaturgo, el importante director de teatro, Dai Piñer, la grandiosa actriz Patty Canino, el joven actor, Manuel Castro Bermúdez, la critico literario, Tere De Jesús y el muy nombrado productor de tetro y cine, y mejor amigo de Tomas, Eduardo Pe.

La leída de la pieza teatral se va desarrollando entre varias copas de vino, miradas, conversas y silencios permitidos, donde se va entretejiendo la historia del texto teatral con las historias de las vidasde los involucrados en la lectura, como con las historias de una casa, ubicada en una ciudad que ha estado envuelta entre lo fantástico maravilloso de los hechos que sorprenden a sus pobladores. Entre todo este trenzado de situaciones nacerá un nuevo amor para Tomas: Manuel, del cual no conoce nada de los secretos que este esconde por medio de su mirada y su silencio.

Jan Thomas Mora (Venezuela, 1982)
Es Profesor en Artes, mención Artes Escénicas y magister en Literatura Latinoamericana, ambos títulos en la Universidad Pedagógica Experimental Libertador. En año 2020 obtuvo el título de Doctor en Cultura y Arte para América Latina y el Caribe también en la Universidad Pedagógica Experimental Libertador. También ha cursado la escolaridad del Doctorado en Pedagogía del Discurso y de la Licenciatura en Historia en la Escuela de Historia de la Universidad Central de Venezuela. Hizo estudios de dramaturgia con Carlos Sánchez Delgado, (IPC, 2000-2005), Rodolfo Porras, (Monte Ávila Editores, 2008-2009), José Gabriel Núñez y Rodolfo Santana, (Fundación Centro de Estudios Latinoamericano Rómulo Gallegos, 2008-2011). Participó en el Taller Superior de Puesta en Escena con el Grupo de Teatro Contra Juego, patrocinado por la Embajada de los Estados Unidos en Venezuela y la Caja de Fósforos.
Fue Director Artístico del Festival Fiesta Teatral Vargas y del Festival Municipal de Teatro de Vargas; Fundador del Grupo de Teatro Jóvenes Actores de Vargas (JAVAR); Fundador de la Productora: Producciones Nuevo Teatro Nuevo; miembro fundador de la Escuela Superior de Teatro "José Gabriel Núñez" de La Guaira.
Resultó ganador para el año 2004 del Concurso Cada Día un Libro, con el monólogo Yo, Federico; ganador para el 2006 del Concurso de Dramaturgia Bertolt Brecht con su obra Bella a las Once, en su tercer lugar; ganador para el año 2010, mejor texto extranjero para Jóvenes Dramaturgos Latinoamericanos, otorgado por el Grupo de Teatro Espacio Libre en la ciudad de Lima-Perú, a la obra de teatro El cáliz amargo de una santera; ganador para el año 2010 de la nominación a Mejor Director de Teatro, otorgado por Premios a la Excelencia en el estado Vargas; ganador del Primer Premio a la pieza César nuestro en el XIX Concurso Nacional de Literatura IPASME 2015; ganador del Programa de Desarrollo de Obras Teatrales Cimientos 2016 (Cimientos 2016 Play Development Program) del grupo IATI de Nueva York con la pieza teatral Consulta por expediente.
