La poesía es un acto de legítima defensa contra la soberbia y obstinación del poder para mentir, cuando una lengua empieza a corromperse en sus significados; ahí está la tarea del poeta para recordar y cumplir, el viejo encargo de que las palabras han sido hechas para construir la casa de la verdad, y no para destruirla. Para recordar al ser humano y a las generaciones del presente que es lo que significó y no debió de significar la palabra piedad o la palabra misericordia frente al sufrimiento de un "otro". La poesía, en su propia naturaleza está la desobediencia de aquel que se niega a significar lo previsto, para implicarse en la alianza con los significados del porvenir. Los sueños pendiente de ser ejercidos: Eso lo recuerda la Poesía desde que es ¡Poesía! La Poesía es la liberación, sea conciencia de algo que no podamos tener conciencia de ninguna otra manera; posiblemente el lenguaje de la delicadeza humana. Tal vez la teoría menos humillante de la historia, con eso bastaría ya para cumplir el secreto, encargo que nadie nos ha hecho; pero que estamos dispuestos a cumplir hasta el último día de nuestra vida.
About the Author: ACERCA DEL AUTOR Guillermo Beltran Villanueva (Ciudad Obregon, Sonora, 1947), fue integrante de la primera generacion de la Escuela de Humanidades de la Universidad Autonoma de Baja California (UABC), graduandose en la generacion 1994-1998, como Licenciado en Literatura de Hispanoamericana. Miembro fundador del Taller de Poesia y Composicion del ITT, con el maestro Jesus Gerardo Villegas, en 1974. Caracol Nocturno es la reunion de poemas cortos selectos y cavilaciones sobre la Literatura.
