The Planet Earth is the habitat of life of all categories created by God. Individual human beings have the right to live with dignity, freedom, security, and peace. Nobody has the right to kill his fellow human beings by any means, including modern armaments and weapons of Mass Destruction like Nuclear, Biological, and Chemical weapons. With a sense of insecurity, mistrust, fear of invasion by other countries, and to serve as a deterrent, many Nations are indulging in an "arms race" in acquiring modern war technology and weapons of mass destruction. Environmental degradation leading to 'Global Warming' and the Man-made Deadly Viruses, like Covid-19, apart from Natural Disasters, adds to the human loss and misery.
While the horrifying reminisces of World Wars, I & II are still haunting; the Third World War prospects are already threatening. The Holocaust created by the Atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki by the U.S.A. was a human tragedy. Prevention of a Nuclear Holocaust through the Third World War is the utmost need for humanity's survival on the Planet and maintaining world Peace and Security. Can we prevent regional conflicts from escalating into a World War and control the impulse of Nuclear Countries to resort to the use of nuclear warheads?
The present Global Governing Systems will not contain such a situation because they lack the 'Controlling Authority and Capacity.' They are also susceptible to domination by any 'Super Power' and its influence on the 'Global Decisions.' Under the circumstances, it is evident that all the countries should come together and put in place a "Democratic World Governing Structure" with 'Enforcing Authority' with checks and balances and save the Planet from the Nuclear Holocaust. The book reviews the effects of Population Growth, the First World War, The League of Nations, The Second World War, The United Nations, The Nonaligned Movement, and The Cold War. The Author took note of the seriousness of the World's Stockpile Of Nuclear Weapons and the other Weapons of Mass Destruction, which, if once used, the kind of Annihilation the Planet will undergo. Therefore, he has advocated four Actions: 1.Creating an alternate World Governing Structure having "Enforcing Authority" with proper checks and balances. 2. Peruse rigorous Nuclear Disarmament.3.Global Appeals for Peace and Security and 4. Strengthening human and ethical values through Value Orientation of Education.
The Author has discussed all these issues and put forward concrete proposals. He hopes the book receives a positive response from all concerned with the Safety of the Planet Earth.
