UN POETA QUE ENSANCHA LA REALIDAD
Las interrogantes universales, la vida, la muerte, la materia de la que estamos hechos, pasan por estas páginas plenas de búsqueda e interioridad. "En ese mundo de instantes meditados surgió un circo de poetas inconclusos que esperan llegar al fin". En ese mundo escribe Lucas: "La luna caminó despacito / se recostó sobre el malecón y desenfundó su aire de soledades / recordando tres nostalgias y un poema de roque dalton / mirando una copa de ron".Algunos poemas están más o menos situados. Llamadas, creación retumbante y coloreada con lápices de fuego, asume referencias explícitas: "Su mirada era una hoja pequeña, como las noches que pestañean la vida en las calles estrechas de Sur y Palermo", y más adelante: "se corrió hasta Carlos Gardel tras una luna repleta de comparsas...". Otros poemas devienen más universales, no establecen complicidad de lugares con el lector, sino que apelan a una comunicación de experiencias compartibles, no ya compartidas. Lucas juega con las dos caras de la moneda de un sentimiento o una situación. Este rescate de la ambivalencia y el contraste le otorgan particular equilibrio a su poesía. Desde el "silencio aturdidor de las alpargatas" (Llamadas), hasta las referencias al tiempo de Alucinaciones: "Ese tiempo tan independiente como comadreja solidaria, pero menos fraterno que zorro en el gallinero"; desde la mujer de Fantasmas, que termina "comiendo frio y calor en su propia telaraña", hasta "esos ojos de mirada corta pero descubridora" de Arenas, muchos textos están atravesados por una bipolaridad como el discurso de un mago resentido.A pesar de tristezas y soledades, en la poesía de Lucas hay también lugar para la esperanza y cierto optimismo. Por ejemplo: "pero tal vez en un lugar de piedras y cangrejos / encuentre algún día otros minutos que olvidé / y el mundo abra sus ventanas/ y todavía exista luz.../ los balcones seguirán abiertos y, la mirada rescate los ojos para ver el mar...". Y enseguida como un homenaje a los poetas que ensanchan la realidad, que le ponen vuelos y colores a lo que de otro modo sería una oficina de corazones perdidos, de ambulantes sin remedio, Lucas escribe estas palabras que siguen abriendo cauces, tirando semillas, apostando a lo que realmente vale la pena colorear: "Caminado por los pretiles de la realidad/ hace des/hace y re/hace la palabra / como si la vida pintara de colores / todos los pájaros de la memoria".
