About the Author: Professor David Frost, the English translator (who worked with eight scholars of Hebrew from different Christian denominations), was a Fellow in English of St John's College, Cambridge and University Teaching Officer in the University of Cambridge, and subsequently Professor of English in the University of Newcastle, New South Wales. Since 2006 he has been Principal of the Institute for Orthodox Christian Studies, Cambridge. A scholar of Renaissance literature with a particular interest in Shakespeare and the dramatists of his day, he has also published poetry, short stories, and two novels, THE DEED'S CREATURE and A CHARMED CIRCLE. He lectures and broadcasts widely, now primarily on religious topics. He is also an actor, combining the roles of Lucifer and Herod in an Australian production of the Chester Mystery Plays and appearing regularly in public readings of great literature. He can be seen on You Tube, reading from Charles Dickens' CHRISTMAS CAROL in a Christmas Eve broadcast from the Cambridge University website, and he has recorded the whole of his translation of the Psalms as a book for the blind.
