Meet the Inner-City Heroes, a new group of socially aware, environmentally conscious and stylish teenagers. C2(TM) (pronounced Cee-Squared) leads the group. His keen knowledge of mathematics allows him to create scientific gadgets from recycled trash and he also plays keyboards. Next up is Spoony-Breeze(TM), whose nose twitches when there is danger and possess' a legendary jump-shot. Peppermint-T(TM) rounds out the group as the only female, with her sassy attitude, computer skills and beautiful singing voice, she's a force to be reckoned with on her own. Finally, Glow(TM) keeps the group laughing and can call upon his martial arts mastery, or saxophone skills, at a moment's notice. Together they form C2 & Posse: Inner-City Heroes and they're about to find themselves in quite a bind. Artist and writer Artoni (Anthony C. Fletcher) introduces these diverse, charming individuals in this action adventure entitled "Caught in the Mix!" (Episode 4). Artoni's graphics are astonishingly fresh, vibrant and truly artistic, rejuvenating illustrated chronicles for a new generation. He concentrates his storylines on classic elements of surprise and suspense, and weaves in the importance of self-respect, ambition and awareness. These Inner-City Heroes represent urban, civic-minded youth and are a constructive addition to the current landscape. After being kidnapped and brain-scaned by an evil empire, who have arrived on Earth after wiping out all other life throughout our solar system, Spoony-Breeze, Glow and Peppermint-T must find a way to escape covert android robots and get to the truth. Sadly, their friend C2 (Clarence Collins II) is presumed dead, along with his parents. Or is he? It's going to take all of the friends' wit and talent to get out of this one. Artoni's Inner-City Heroes' characters and illustrations are dynamic, energetic and inspirational. About the Author: Artoni's World is the creative spirit of Anthony C. Fletcher (aka Artoni), who has been a student of the arts since the age of eight. As a professional artist, Artoni is thankful that his work as a creative consultant, graphic designer, art director, writer and illustrator for scientists, advertising agencies, record companies, and magazines sustains his inspiration as a visual creative artist. Artoni works in different styles and mediums, although his favorites are oil on canvas and pencil on paper.When he creates art, he allows the subject matter to determine its style of execution. Artoni believes that being an artist results in a life journey of discovery and that the artworks created become milestones...enabling that artist to share with the world the ideas and visions he has discovered within his process of creation! Anthony C. Fletcher is a native of Wilmington, DE, now residing in Jersey City, NJ. He has studied art at the Delaware Art Museum School, Philadelphia Institute of Art, School of Visual Arts in New York, and Florida A & M University. His artwork reflects a life of inspiration from his African American heritage, his immersion in the world of music and a deep spiritual root system that all converge organically in color and form. The tropical brilliance of Gaugin, the electricity of Van Gogh, the illustrative brilliance of Salvador Dali, the lineage of Beardon are all evidenced as influences on the distinctive lyrical sense of Artoni's artwork. As a teaching artist, Artoni has conducted design workshops & art residencies in Central America for the Instituto Nacional de Cultura in Panamá City, Colon City, and David, Chiriqui in the Republic of Panamá. He has exhibited internationally at the University of Panama and recently with the Chadds Ford Gallery, Chadds Ford, PA. His art works can be found in the private collections of Dianne Reeves, Mrs. Genevieve Stewart of Wynton Marsalis Enterprises Inc., Will Downing, Nancy Wilson, Onaje Allen Gumbs and many others throughout the USA, Brazil, Central America, the UK, Japan, and Africa.
