About the Author: Heidi J. Ellsworth and Karen L. Edwards have worked together in various roofing-oriented companies since 2006. They now collaborate on sales and marketing services focused in the roofing industry. Ellsworth is a graduate of University of Portland with a Bachelor of Science degree in communications management and has been working in the roofing industry since 1993 leading sales and marketing efforts for companies such as Malarkey Roofing, Carlisle Construction Group and EagleView Technologies. Ellsworth launched the innovative sales and marketing consulting company HJE Consulting Group where she is president and joined RoofersCoffeeShop.com as a partner in 2015. She currently consults with the National Roofing Contractors Association, Florida Roofing and Sheet Metal Association and National Roofing Partners. She is active in the industry as chairperson of National Women in Roofing (NWIR), one of the founders of Roofing Technology Think Tank (RT3) and holds numerous association board positions. Edwards has a Bachelor of Science degree in communications with a concentration in public relations from Millersville University, Millersville, PA. She has been a marketing professional for more than 20 years and has focused the past 12 years on marketing for the construction industry. She led the contractor marketing program during her tenure at Carlisle SynTec and oversaw the marketing behind the company's secondary brands including Versico, EcoStar, Insulfoam, Carlisle Coatings and Waterproofing and Carlisle Residential. She now owns her own consulting business, Casimir Consulting and is the editor for RoofersCoffeeShop.com. She also works with prominent industry groups including Property Drone Consortium (PDC) and Roofing Technology Think Tank (RT3). Both Ellsworth and Edwards write for RoofersCoffeeShop.com and industry publications including Professional Roofing, Roofing Contractor Magazine, Western Roofing and Florida Roofing Magazine.
