About the Author: Carlos Javier Taranilla de la Varga, natural de León (1956), es Licenciado en Geografía e Historia, especialidad Historia del Arte. Conoce el mundo editorial, en el que ha trabajado durante varios años y, desde hace ya más de treinta, ejerce como profesor de Enseñanza Media. Ha publicado más de una docena de libros de arte e historia, en los que combina el tono divulgativo con el rigor que exigen sus contenidos. Prologado y avalado por importantes escritores tanto del mundo literario (Juan Eslava Galán, José M.a Merino de la RAE, Juan Pedro Aparicio, Antonio Colinas) como universitario en España (José M.a Pérez 'Peridis', Javier Rivera) y en Europa (Patrick Henriet, de la École des Hautes Études de París), sus obras alcanzan siempre una gran difusión entre los principales medios de comunicación nacional.
