About the Book

Ten years ago Frank W. Bennett challenged business leaders to rethink their perceptions of what is most important to effectively lead and grow organizations in an easy-to-read fable style. In this revised 10th anniversary edition, readers will be reintroduced to the concepts that have been taught at Universities and implemented at organizations of all kinds nationwide. The Breathing Organization is a brilliantly written, easy to read, and very timely book about the mindsets organizational leaders must embrace if they hope to achieve consistently positive results in the years ahead. With the ever increasing pressure of global competition now affecting everyone from established companies to local hardware stores, there has never been a greater need to rethink the assumptions that drive the way we make decisions as leaders. In The Breathing Organization, Frank W. Bennett takes the reader through the life of a manager dealing with common leadership challenges. The story takes the reader right into the day-to-day hurdles that leaders face and teaches leadership lessons that have universal resonance. Anyone in a decision making role regardless of the size of the organization or the business sector will gain from the wisdom in The Breathing Organization.
About the Author: The Breathing Organization is the first book by Marketing Strategist Frank Bennett. Driven by a desire to address some of the most common leadership/management issues he ran into in his early consulting years, most of the material in this book came directly from issues he witnessed first-hand with clients. If you are expecting marketing content, see Bennett's other work, this book is purely for those looking to become more effective organizational leaders. For just under ten years, Frank Bennett worked on marketing strategy and brand development projects for companies with marketing budgets in the $50,000 to half million dollar range. While Bennett continues to write and occasionally speak on marketing subjects, in 2011 he ended his consulting practice to become the CEO of The National Quilt Museum in Paducah, Kentucky. The National Quilt Museum is an art museum featuring quilt and fiber art by some of the most respected artists in the world. It is annually visited by art enthusiasts from all 50 US States and over 45 countries worldwide. Frank Bennett has consulted for over 80 companies from diverse industries. Fifteen of the companies he consulting for achieved double-digit growth during the time he was involved with them, two achieved triple-digit growth. In addition to his consulting work, he has conducted workshops and lectures at over 45 business and scholastic organizations including the Harvard University, Microsoft Corporation, and Nuvox Communications. Frank currently lives in Paducah Kentucky.
