About the Author: Dr. Richard Reichert is a retired physician who now teaches moral philosophy at Gateway College in Lake City, Florida. He holds a BS and MD from the University of Florida, an MBA from the University of South Florida, an MABS from Dallas Theological Seminary, an MDiv from Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary, and is completing his PhD in ethics at the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. Dr. Reichert practiced ophthalmology for thirty years and has published numerous papers in national medical journals. He has served as an interim pastor and continues to serve in short term medical missions in Haiti and Honduras. Dr. Reichert also enjoys endurance sports and has completed numerous Ironman triathlons, rode his bicycle across the United States, and sailed his small boat from Florida to Portugal. Dr. Reichert resides in Florida with his wife, Jill, and their four daughters.
