About the Author: Alexandra Risley nació en Venezuela en 1982. Es licenciada en comunicación social (mención periodismo) graduada en 2004 en la Universidad Fermín Toro (Barquisimeto). Trabajó como periodista y jefe de información de distintos medios de comunicación hasta el año 2009, cuando se marcha a la ciudad de Londres. Es en ese viaje donde descubre su pasión por la literatura y ve además la oportunidad perfecta para darle forma a su más grande sueño: convertirse en escritora. En 2010 comienza a escribir su primera novela, El pianista recostado en el opio. Tras la publicación de esta obra a través de Editorial Vestales de Argentina, sale a la luz Victory. En 2013, la autora presenta esta obra con gran éxito en el Festival Romántica Buenos Aires y además dicta la charla motivacional Escribe tu propia historia junto a su esposo, el sociólogo y motivador venezolano José Jacinto Muñoz, a personas que al igual que ella ven en la escritura una vocación de vida. En 2014 se publica Bajo el cielo de Cawnpore, obra que presenta con gran éxito el 27 de abril del mismo año en la 40° Feria del Libro de Buenos Aires. En julio de 2014 publica su primera novela juvenil El reino de las almas robadas de la mano de la editorial española Plataforma Neo, la cual ya se encuentra disponible en un buen número de países de Latinoamérica. Actualmente, Alexandra Risley vive en Caracas y dirige una compañía llamada Gravita Comunicaciones, dedicada a capacitar a empresas en temas de crecimiento personal y profesional.
