About the Book

Nicolae Tepes had everything. He was darkly handsome, had amassed a fortune and was married to a beautiful former model. He had a beautiful home in Paris, a medieval castle known as Chateau de Rambouillet and a historical plantation in Savannah, Georgia known as Borough Hall. He could also summon powers no mortal could fully understand, nor defend against. But his enemies weren't ordinary men. Men that knew him, though fearing him, had great respect for him. His enemies were his own kind, those like him whom hadn't learned to control their powers or needs. It hadn't always been that way. Through cunning, survival and tenacity he had earned his place in the world. He began life as any normal child growing up in 14th century Bucharest, Romania. As a youngster he did chores around the home and grew into a young man helping with the family vineyard and in their store selling wines, grapes, and antiquities along with his younger brother Victor. While women were attracted to Nicolae, men looked at him with wariness. Gradually townsfolk and traveling merchants alike began to mysteriously disappear, many of their emaciated bodies found lying in the surrounding forests. One of the victims was a local merchant and family friend whose wife had taken a liking to Nicolae. The feeling was mutual and when it was accepted that the man was gone the two struck up a romance, one that he thought would last for a lifetime. Nicolae wasn't to blame for the atrocities. There was an evil presence among the good people of Bucharest and it was someone well known to them all. It was during this time that Nicolaes life would forever change. Elliott Goldis was also a handsome young man whom caught the attention of women. But he was bold, abrasive and easily aggravated. When he caught Nicolae with a love interest of his, jealousy threw him into a rage. He viscously attacked Nicolae one evening while he was filling a wagon with supplies for a new business in Albania. Nicolae survived the attack, but it irreversibly changed him. He was no longer a young man. He had become a dark being that preferred the night. He discovered that he had unfathomable speed and could morph into a great bird of prey or any number of creatures. He guiltily fed on innocent human beings, something that he would battle internally with for years. It simply wasn't a human. Nicolae wasn't alone. An unfortunate incident would change Victor too. He would become just like his brother. Although eternally changed, the two of them still found love, experienced tragedy, watched and took part in history being made and traveled the world. But they became wary and were constantly followed throughout their travels, hunted by Elliott bent on their destruction. Now, centuries later, the brothers face their childhood enemy, at Borough Hall. The unavoidable confrontation is more than just between three men. It is an epic battle involving two rival covens that had formed over the centuries.
